Introducing ourselves

We are Mr & Mrs Trevor & Lesley Pickard. We were both fortunate to have the opportunity to opt out of the Rat Race and move down to the North coast of Glorious Devonshire in 1997. We live on the edge of Exmoor National Park in a little village called Combe Martin which is about 12 miles north of the main town Barnstaple.

How it all started

Lesley and I started Sherbrook Selectables as a full time business back in 1998. We did the usual rounds of car boots, antique fairs and market stalls until one day in 1999 an opportunity presented itself to rent a shop in the village. After 6 years renting and two shops later we finally have bought our own premises, our third and hopefully final move. You could say that we have reached our goal. The business has slowly evolved from strength to strength and so we are now going one step further and selling Worldwide online.

What we sell

We sell a wide variety of antiques & collectables. This includes Furniture, Paintings, Prints, Sterling Silver and Silver Plate, Objet d'Art Pottery, Porcelain, Glass, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Arts & Crafts, Oriental ceramics, Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Bronze, Brass, Copper etc.

About Combe Martin

The seaside village of Combe Martin offers warm hospitality and stunning scenery all year round. Situated on the North Devon coastline, it makes an ideal base for touring the local area and being part of the 630 mile South West Coast Path, is ideal for walkers. Combe Martin has the longest High Street in the country, with many pubs, guest houses, garages, shops and places to eat along the way. At the end is a wide sandy beach with rock pools and caves to explore.
